Tower Hamlets Transgender Needs Assessment

In 2024, The Love Tank was commissioned by Tower Hamlets Council to conduct the community research arm of the UK’s first London-centric Transgender Needs Assessment, the second of its kind nationwide. Guided by the living experiences of trans and non-binary people, the community research sought to better understand both the barriers faced, and the needs of, trans people living, working, socialising, or accessing services in Tower Hamlets. Ultimately, the research platforms the voices of trans communities, so their exact needs can be held, heard, and appropriately addressed by the borough, and beyond.
